Working in thematic collections that marry observation with storytelling, Darlene’s work evokes geology, topography and emotion through the medium of wearable glass. Often chased through with pure gold or silver, as ore seams the rock beneath us, Darlene’s aesthetic is one of sumptuous opulence, grounded in organic form and texture. She no longer participates in select juried art and craft shows, but has major gallery representation at The Art Gallery of Ontario, The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery and The Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
