Giveaway Days are a great opportunity to de-clutter and find a new home for any unwanted items while also picking up something you may want or need for free! Keep gently used items out of the landfills by allowing others to re-use or up-cycle them.

How to Participate

Setting Items Out

• Clearly label your items as FREE
• Place at the curb in front of your home by 7:00 a.m. on the Giveaway Day
• Ensure any items that you do not want taken are kept away from the curb
• Unclaimed items must be removed by 5:00 p.m. on the same day and remain your responsibility. Loyalist Township will NOT be collecting unclaimed items.

Picking Items Up

• Respect other people’s property – do not walk on people’s lawns or gardens
• Take only items that are marked ‘FREE’ and placed at the curb
• Do not leave previously picked-up items on the curb at other people’s property
