A living record of island lifeāpast, present, and ongoing.
Since 1970, The Amherst Island Beacon has told the stories of this place we call home. Through births and farewells, community events and council updates, harvests and storms and laughter, the Beacon has been where we record, reflect, and reach out to one another.
Over the decades, it has evolvedābut always with one goal: to hold up a mirror to Amherst Island and show us who we are, together.
